Terms of Service
Last Updated: July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms,” “Agreement”) govern your use of the website, services, and communications provided by Mobile Locksmith (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our,” or “Provider”) operating at mobile-locksmith.services (the “Website”). By accessing the Website, requesting services, calling our phone number, submitting a form, or engaging with our company in any manner, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Website or services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to use our Website or request our services. By using our Website or requesting services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
2. Description of Services
Mobile Locksmith provides mobile locksmith services throughout the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Our services include but are not limited to automotive locksmith services, residential locksmith services, commercial locksmith services, emergency lockout assistance, lock installation, lock rekeying, key cutting, key replacement, key fob programming, lock repair, and security assessments. We are a mobile service, meaning our technicians travel to your location.
Service availability depends on technician availability, geographic coverage, and current demand. We do not guarantee availability at any specific time or location. Service descriptions on our Website are for informational purposes and do not constitute a binding offer.
3. Accurate Business Representations
Mobile Locksmith is committed to honest, transparent business practices. All information displayed on our Website, including our business name, physical service area, phone number, hours of operation, and service descriptions, is accurate and truthful to the best of our knowledge. We do not use misleading business names, fake addresses, or deceptive phone numbers. If you believe any information on our Website is inaccurate, please contact us so we can correct it promptly.
4. Service Call Fee and Pricing
Service Call Fee
All service calls are subject to a service call fee that varies based on the time of service, location, and nature of the request, including: standard business hours (Monday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM); weekend service (Saturday and Sunday); holiday service; and emergency or remote location service. The service call fee covers dispatch and on-site diagnostic assessment regardless of whether additional work is performed. The service call fee is credited toward the total cost if the customer authorizes additional work.
Transparent Pricing
Mobile Locksmith provides a written or verbal estimate of the total cost before beginning any repair or installation work, separate from the diagnostic service call fee. You must explicitly authorize work before it begins. If unexpected conditions are discovered that would cause the cost to exceed the original estimate by more than ten percent (10%), we will contact you and obtain your approval before proceeding. Pricing is not locked if the scope of work changes after the initial estimate.
5. Service Warranty
30-Day Warranty
Mobile Locksmith aims to perform all work in a professional and workmanlike manner. If you experience an issue within thirty (30) days of service completion that is directly attributable to our work, we may, at our sole discretion, attempt to repair or re-perform the service at no additional charge. This warranty is provided as a courtesy and does not create any obligation beyond what is stated in this section.
Warranty Exclusions
The 30-day warranty does not cover and is void if: the customer or any third party tampers with, modifies, or alters the lock or security device after service completion; normal wear and tear occurs to components we installed or repaired; the customer fails to operate the lock or device according to manufacturer specifications; damage is caused by accident, negligence, misuse, or abuse after service completion; damage is caused by environmental factors such as weather, water damage, or extreme temperatures; unauthorized repairs or modifications are obtained from third parties; non-OEM replacement parts are used by others after our service; or the warranty claim is made more than thirty (30) calendar days after service completion. This warranty covers only the specific work performed and does not extend to pre-existing conditions, underlying security vulnerabilities not identified before work began, or damage to surrounding property not caused by our work.
6. No Refunds Policy
Service fees are non-refundable once work has been completed. This applies regardless of changes in circumstances or the customer’s decision not to proceed with additional services. Exceptions are limited to: (a) service that cannot be completed due to factors entirely within the Provider’s control and the customer does not authorize billing for partial service; and (b) duplicate charges due to billing error, refunded within thirty (30) days of discovery. Customers dissatisfied with service quality should invoke the warranty provision (Section 5) within thirty days.
7. Cancellation Policy
24 hours or more before appointment: No charge. 2 to 24 hours before appointment: Service call fee applies. Less than 2 hours before appointment or no-show: Full service call fee applies, and rescheduling may incur additional charges. If you are not present at the scheduled time and location without prior notice, the full service call fee will be charged.
8. Proof of Ownership and Authorization
For security and legal compliance, Mobile Locksmith requires reasonable proof that you have legal authority to request locksmith services at the property. Acceptable proof includes valid government-issued photo identification matching the service address, proof of residency such as a utility bill, lease agreement, or mortgage statement, proof of vehicle ownership or registration for automotive services, or written authorization from the property owner. We reserve the right to refuse service if you cannot provide reasonable proof of authorization. This policy exists to prevent unlawful entry and protect property owners.
9. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full upon completion of service. We accept cash, major credit cards, debit cards, and common digital payment methods. By requesting our services, you agree to pay the full amount due at the time of service completion. Failure to pay may result in collection action, including collection fees, attorney fees, and interest charges permitted under applicable law.
10. Website Usage
Permitted Use
You may use our Website for lawful purposes to learn about our services, find service area information, request quotes, and contact us. 12. Communications Consent (TCPA Disclosure)
Phone Calls
By providing your phone number to Mobile Locksmith through our Website, by phone, or in person, you provide prior express consent for us to contact you at that number regarding your service request, including through the use of automated dialing systems and prerecorded messages, for operational and informational purposes (appointment confirmations, technician updates, follow-ups, and billing). This consent is not a condition of purchasing any service.
Text Messages (SMS/MMS)
By checking the SMS consent checkbox on any form on our Website, you provide prior express written consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227, to receive text messages from Mobile Locksmith at the mobile number you provided, including messages sent through automated technology. Messages may include appointment confirmations, service updates, and follow-ups. Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
You may revoke your consent and opt out of text messages at any time by any reasonable method, including replying STOP to any message, calling us at (301) 945-8564, emailing us at [email address], or by any other reasonable means. We will process opt-out requests within ten (10) business days and send a single confirmation message. Opting out of text messages will not affect your ability to receive our locksmith services. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Carrier Liability Disclaimer
Carriers (e.g., T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Mobile Locksmith is not responsible for messages that are not delivered due to carrier network issues, device incompatibility, changes to your phone number, or other factors outside our control.
Call Recording Disclosure
Phone calls to and from Mobile Locksmith may be recorded for quality assurance, training, dispute resolution, and compliance purposes. Because we serve the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, and because Maryland and certain other states require the consent of all parties to a recorded call, you will be notified at the beginning of the call that it may be recorded, and your continued participation constitutes your consent. If you contact us through Google Local Services Ads or other advertising platforms, those platforms may independently monitor, record, and analyze communications in accordance with their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party recording practices.
